These meals provide the clients with a top-notch experience and can take place in the comfort of your own home! A client can personally give input on the menu of ingredients used—whether it be things to avoid or things to put emphasis on. This meal can be as extravagant or rustic as the client wants it to be.
As a chef, I am particular when it comes to my food. I want everything to be prepared and executed with no room for compromise. All food is prepared fresh the day of on premises. This ensures the quality of my food is not compromised and each client will see first hand the attentiveness I give to their meal. It is my desire to provide my clients with the best meal and service possible.

We at White Crane put emphasis on not compromising when it comes to our food, services, and execution. This could not apply any more than to catering. With each catered meal, we want our guests to feel that their needs are met no matter what the setting. Whether it be for business, birthdays, or social gatherings, we want the food to be as great as it can be. When seasons change, so will our menus. This allows the client to know our food is fresh and well thought out. This also allows us to be versatile in all we offer. Whether it be for a cocktail party, appetizers, or buffet style, we make sure we execute to high standards.
Hello, my name is Cody Berger and I am the chef/founder of White Crane Hospitality. I have worked in restaurants since I was 16 years old. After graduating from Sullivan University’s culinary arts program, I have worked in many establishments in the middle Tennessee area. Establishments such as The Hutton Hotel, Grays on Main, Antebellum Restaurant(Flowery Branch, GA), Etch, Homestead Manor, and Deacons New South.
What started out as a series of pop-up dinners in 2018, has snow balled into something I never anticipated. White Crane quickly became a small business offering in-home chef services. Anything from, plated dinners, family style meals, or catering for cocktail parties and BBQ’s.
Being a private chef is both exciting and humbling. I love being able to deliver products that fits the clients expectations and tastes for each occasion. Getting the chance to be invited into someones home to cook is such a humbling experience for me. That requires a lot of trust from the client! This allow me to build relationships with clients. Which in turn, I can know my clients tastes and expectations and make my business reflect that!
